It was a lovely day for my work to end early in DC!
I tried very hard to get a cool photo of fireflies tonight. And I completely failed. Alas.

In other news: I made it halfway through the year on Project 365! (In even more other news, there are three more days in the second half of the year than the first. Oh, the things I’m learning from P365!)
Post-dinner relaxation prior to an early bedtime, in preparation for a very early wakeup call for the next day’s Seattle Marathon. Ahhh, so happy to return to a city I lived in and loved for a summer back in college. The sun-drenched waterfront was a peaceful ending to a lovely day in a city dear to my heart.
Sorry, I was amused by the thought while composing this photo. And now I can’t get the modified lyrics out of my head.

I took a walk on an absolutely lovely London spring morning prior to my late-morning departure back to the US.
Others enjoyed the confluence of sun, blue skies, and greenery.
One thing I love about London is the mixture of the old and the new. Even if I (like many others) strongly dislike this particular new.
Londoners dutifully following directions and exhibiting that unique fashion sense for which the city is known.
Time to pop back underground to depart.
